Weekly image #3 – There is always time for a hug

A couple of black-backed jackals hug it out in Etosha National Park, Namibia.

These two lovely Black-backed jackals (Canis mesomelas) were enjoying the early morning light at Klein Namutoni Waterhole in Etosha National Park, Namibia. They initially reminded me of my brother and me, until I read up on them later and found out that this species forms monogamous relationships that last for life. So I was probably dealing with a couple here.

The image was taken with a Pentax K3 and HD DA 55-300 WR lens at 1/500th sec., f/8, ISO 200, 300 mm (APS-C).
