I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Scotland’s national training outdoor centre at Glenmore Lodge in the Cairngorms for a special Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS) run course aimed at members of student-run university mountaineering clubs. Taught by some of the best climbers and mountaineers in the UK, we listened to lectures on safety, visited the local Mountain Rescue base and spent one day rock climbing and one day out in the mountains improving our navigation skills in small groups. While practicing the latter I shot this image of our guide and one of the two other participants from my club looking out over the Cairngorms.
Shot with the Pentax K3 and DA L 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens at f/8, 1/40th sec. and ISO200 at 18 mm.
