When studying abroad in Australia my family came over to visit me and travel the east coast, and in their suitcase they also brought a tripod I had bought online in Germany. Finally I was able to take long exposures. In Brisbane we stayed in a self-catered apartment high up in a skyscraper in the city centre, so at night I tried to take a picture down the building’s front. My father and I were playing around with the tripod, rotating the central column by 90°, trying to get the camera as far out as possible while still maintaining stability, making my mother very nervous, and finally managed to take a shot.
Taken with the Pentax K-r and DA L 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens as f/8, 15 sec. and ISO200 at 26 mm.
