Weekly Image #7 – Independence(?)

A road sign bears the logo of the pro-independence campaign ahead of the Scottish referendum.

As some of you might know I happen to live in beautiful Scotland. Last year, on 18th September, the country held a referendum on whether it should become a sovereign nation state independent of the United Kingdom. On election day I went out into the streets to document the historic date. Dundee, where I study, was and is known as the ‘Yes’ city, being the electoral constituency whose inhabitants were most strongly in favour of independence. This image of a ‘Yes’ sticker on a street sign bears testimony to this fact.

Shot with the Pentax K-r and DA 35 f/2.4 lens at f2.8, 1/125th sec. and ISO 320.
